First Party Auditing – Internal Audits of Management Systems.

First party audits are audits conducted by a company to its own management system. They are conducted with the objective of continuous improvement of the system as well as for assessing the level of its conformity with specific standards and audit criteria. For this reason, these audits are called 'Internal Audits' and the auditors who carry them out are called 'Internal Auditors'.

In all Management Systems Standards, it is a requirement that internal auditors shall be independent of the processes they audit, in order to achieve the objectives of the audits by ensuring a certain degree of objectivity.

The ideal and recommended approach for any company is to assign internal audits to internal auditors who are employees/executives of the company. There are however many cases where companies do not prefer (or are not able to) to allocate their own resources. This may be due to many reasons such as e.g. resources constraints (human, technical training, education, time, etc.) or a non-achievable satisfactory degree of independence. In such cases, companies may select and assign the internal audits to outsourcing associates.

ISONIKE undertakes and conducts internal audits including the preparation of reports to the management of companies for all management systems standards, the main ones being:
